Swiftly Painted Challenge - October

1 October 2013. Can you believe it is already October?

3 months and we will be starting a whole new year!! That is crazy! Although I do feel that September kinda dragged on a bit... 

The 1st of the month has a whole new meaning around here, and we can thank these lovely ladies: AnnMari and Jessica for that. October brings the new Swiftly Painted Challenge.

Your followers follow you willingly

I won't lie, I had a good chuckle at this prompt at first. I had this image of my threatening every follower with bribery and corruption to follow my blog, or else... Haha, this makes me even more grateful for the special people that take the time to choose to click on my link and allow themselves to be lost in my creative space with me.

It warms my heart that there are 245 (and a few more according to stats and comments) that have made the willing decision to follow my blog, and pop in form time to time. I am not out to get as many followers as possible and building up this following was never my intent for this blog, but I don't think too many people can deny that it is nice to know that it is being read and appreciated on a daily basis.

I started my little blog for me, and only me. But now it is for me, and for you. I love being in touch with my readers, reading their comments, listening to what they have to say and learning all about them. There is no better way to make friends across the seas and around my own country, from all walks of life. I consider myself a friendly and social person, so making new friends is right up my alley - and I have made so many. Such different ladies have been in contact with me and touched my heart in so many ways. They are very special to me.

This is a perfect opportunity to express my love and gratitude to you all. Thank you to each and every one of you that have pushed the "follow" button, to those of you that leave the sweetest and most heartfelt comments, those that follow me on other social media sites and who get involved in my daly life with more sweet comments, love and support. And all the special friends that I have made, long may our unique bonds last.

I look forward to welcoming many more new ladies into my life.

This prompt was rather difficult because how do you depict yourself as a blogger in a selfie? I consider myself a lifestyle blogger and the gorgeous lifestyle that I live is by the ocean (that exact lighthouse too actually!). This selfie also shows an image taken from the balcony of a local hotel where we are staying at the moment for our wedding anniversary stay-cay.
