Christmas Eve 2013

More than halfway through January and my Christmas recaps start… NOW!
Rather late than never, I guess.

This Christmas was very different for us, and a little weird to be honest. Although lovely too.
With the chaos of moving into our new home on the 13th of December, our house was very busy, not quite finished and in a total mess. Our decorations were also packed in a few boxes, spread across the house and not quite ready to be put up.
So we made do…

Unfortunately for me, who just loves all occasions and getting festive, this Christmas didn't really feel like Christmas - but don't get me wrong, we had an unbelievable festive season with special family and friends - and that's all that matters!!

A few years ago, our group of friends decided to start an annual tradition to celebrate Christmas Eve together - most of us have family traditions on Christmas Day. So now each year, we all get together for drinks, snacks, present opening and great festive cheer.

This year it was our turn to host, even more exciting in our new home. And with my fabulous, supportive husband we put together a lovely evening - positively enjoyed by all. MC decided that he was to be chef for the evening and I worked on drinks, decor and small gifts for everyone. I cannot explain how my gorgeous husband turned into Jamie Oliver with his delicious tapas meal, we are still raving about his tasty food and recipes.

I'll let the pictures do the talking…
